Adventure (1978/1980) for the Atari 2600, developed by Warren Robinett, is a landmark single-player action-adventure game known as one of the first to feature an Easter egg, a hidden room crediting its creator, since Atari didn't credit developers at the time. Players control a square or dot, exploring mazes, finding keys (yellow, black), a sword (arrow), and a chalice, navigating around dragons, to return the chalice to the yellow castle, pioneering early open-world and action-adventure concepts.
